The serpentine top is of richly figured plum-pudding mahogany concealing an interior of fitted compartments and a mirror with its original glass. SOLD.......Walnut Card Table

A rare and beautiful George I walnut card table, c.1720 having many original decorative features. The quarter veneered top has herring bone inlay and the understated cabriole legs have shell and foliate carving typical of the period.

The top opens to reveal veneered candle stands and counter scoops. It alsohas the unusual but original feature of a small freize drawer in the side. Notwhithstanding some small old veneer repairs the table is in excellent original condition.
